PolarPro Helix UV filter Peter McKinnon

PolarPro Helix UV Filter - Peter McKinnon Edition

The PolarPro Helix UV Filter is a protective filter for PolarPro's Helix MagLock system, designed in collaboration with Peter McKinnon. It protects your lens from dust, heat and rain, and from damage caused by drops. The coated filter absorbs excess ultraviolet light, so your images stay clear, and it is designed to prevent fogging and vignetting. The color rendition stays neutral.

The filter has no threads. You screw a Helix base plate onto your lens and click the filter onto it magnetically, after which a quarter turn locks the filter. According to PolarPro, the MagLock system is up to 10 times stronger than traditional magnetic filters. This way you switch between filters in a few seconds and keep them securely locked while recording. The ring frame is made of brass. The filter gives no vignetting down to 17mm.

You need the Helix base plate to attach the filter to your lens, and it is available separately. The filter comes with protective caps for the filter, so you can take it along safely.
