Your photo and video specialist since 1995
The PolarPro PMVND Edition II 2-5 Stop Black Mist Filter (95mm) is a variable ND filter with built-in Black Mist diffusion, designed with Peter McKinnon. You control the light from 2 to 5 stops, while the diffusion softens highlights for a cinematic look. A preset range of stops prevents cross-polarization, and you feel every position click thanks to the haptic locking system.

PolarPro PMVND Edition II 2-5 Stop Black Mist Filter 95mm

The PolarPro PMVND Edition II 2-5 Stop Black Mist Filter is a variable ND filter, developed by PolarPro in collaboration with Peter McKinnon. It combines a variable ND filter of 2 to 5 stops with a Black Mist diffusion filter in one frame. This lets you control your shutter speed and aperture in daylight for cinematic motion blur, while at the same time giving your highlights a soft, smooth roll-off. The 2-5 stops are the most popular setting for photo and video in general.

The stop range is preset, so you never get the well-known X pattern of cross-polarization. Thanks to the haptic locking system, you feel every position click into place, without taking your eye off the image. The filter has Cinema Series glass that can handle sensors up to 8K and provides neutral color rendition, with anti-reflective and scratch-resistant coatings. The optical density ranges from 0.6 to 1.5. According to PolarPro, the built-in Black Mist is 1/8 strength.

The ultra-thin frame prevents vignetting from 16mm. This 95mm filter fits lenses with a 95mm filter thread and lenses with a coarse 95mm thread. The box contains the Defender360, a cover for the front and back that fully seals the filter when you are not shooting.
