Dulens Triassic Prime 50mm T2.8 Lens

Take your cinematography to the next level with the Dulens Triassic Prime 50mm T2.8 lens, a lens designed specifically for filmmakers who demand precision, character and versatility. Designed with an ARRI PL mount, this full-frame prime lens inherits the expressive qualities of the renowned APO Mini Primes and introduces enhanced close-focus capabilities that allow you to isolate your subject with stunning clarity.

The apochromatic design of the Triassic series minimises chromatic and spherical aberrations, ensuring optimum image quality even in challenging lighting conditions. This, combined with a floating element design, makes it a powerful tool for close-up work, with exceptional minimum focus performance. Unlike traditional macro lenses, which often suffer from performance degradation at infinity, Triassic primes retain exceptional MTF performance at infinity, making them true all-round cinematic lenses. A unique complement to the APO Mini Primes

Instead of overlapping with the APO Mini Prime series, the Triassic series extends your creative range by offering focal lengths that fill the gaps in the APO Mini series. The APO Mini Primes are available in 21 mm, 31 mm, 43 mm, 58 mm, 85 mm and 110 mm, while the Triassic series offers 25 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, 90 mm and 120 mm, providing a seamless transition between focal lengths. This allows cameramen to combine lenses from both series for a cohesive optical look with more versatility.

Although the Triassic Primes are slightly larger than the APO Mini Primes, they maintain a consistent front diameter of 80 mm and a filter thread of 72 mm, ensuring quick and hassle-free lens changes when working with matteboxes and other accessories. The floating element design not only improves focusing performance at short distances, but also prevents light loss at minimum focusing distances, making these lenses highly efficient in low light.

Whether you are shooting immersive wide-angle shots or dynamic close-ups, or need a versatile 50mm focal length for cinematic storytelling, the Dulens APO Close-Focus Triassic 50mm T2.8 delivers uncompromising optical quality with a distinctly expressive character.
