Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G

With the Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G you play back video from your Thunderbolt laptop or desktop to 12G-SDI and HDMI. The compact device is intended for monitoring your playback image from editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, with 10-bit SDI and HDMI outputs in broadcast quality.

The Monitor 12G has two 12G-SDI outputs that support fill and key. Broadcast graphics with an alpha channel are automatically converted to a key output, so you can overlay them onto your image with transparency in a production switcher. This gives you a clean transition of the transparent elements.

The multi-rate 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 connections support all SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K standards up to 2160p60. You switch the SDI connection between the different standards, and via a software update you add new television standards later.

The device works via a single Thunderbolt 4 cable, which also supplies the power. The UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G works with commonly used video software such as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Composer. The included software comprises, among others, Media Express and Disk Speed Test.
